Australia boosts Laos children’s access to better quality education
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Some 582 schools in nine provinces have received new classrooms and clean water and sanitation facilities from Australia in partnership with the EU, through the Basic Education Quality and Access in Laos (BEQUAL) programme.
A handover ceremony for the school facilities held at the Ministry of Education and Sports in Vientiane this week was attended by representatives from relevant ministry departments, provincial education and sports sectors from the nine provinces that benefitted from the support, as well as other implementing partners and NGOs.
